Design Engineering encompasses the design and analysis of parts, components, assemblies, subassemblies and systems, and the production of associated drawings and instructions. Under limited direction, perform a variety of complex engineering assignments requiring in-depth knowledge of a specific engineering discipline plus an understanding of related disciplines to cost effectively achieve objectives. Assignments typically require the use of advanced and innovative techniques. Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities
Acts as a technical design lead or adviser in at least one engineering area or across technical field. Anticipates and solves unprecedented design problems, crucial issues and/or unique conditions. Approves design deliverables. Defines focus areas/priorities for design to ensure technological excellence connected with other disciplines. Supports continuous improvement in design area. Design, analyze, and evaluate systems, products or components, requiring a high degree of technical expertise.
Design and develop complex models or simulations and apply advanced computer programs, analytical techniques or control strategies to effectively meet requirements and resolve problems. Act as principal investigator or lead a group of engineers investigating problems, developing solutions and preparing related recommendations and reports.
Conduct economic studies and prepare or lead the preparation of specifications, proposals for contracts, licensing and safety documents, and obtain required approvals.
Works with the customer at senior level to shape and deliver design solutions, seeks feedback from customer to drive and deliver improvement. Establishes and maintains relations with key customer to understand customer’s technical issues/ requirements
Complexity of Tasks: Requires thorough knowledge of a specific engineering discipline plus an understanding of related disciplines to coordinate activities, analyze and resolve problems crossing disciplines and to develop new concepts for programs. Technical input, recommendations and decisions may impact the organization's effectiveness and customer relations. Requires ability to interface effectively, internally and with customers.
Staff with the Global Design Team: You will be part of a Global Engineering Center team and your task is to contribute to the global design work with positive team atmosphere and networking.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering.
2 - 7 years’ experience working in Electrical design for Distribution/Power Transformers. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
Good verbal and written English are Must.
Organised and thorough.
A team player, open with information and willingly contributes to team discussions with an ability to work without supervision when required.
Demonstrated team building and networking skills, would be a preference.
Additional languages knowledge is considered an advantage.
Quick learner with ability to master new areas.
