Key Responsibilities:
To lead in implementation for Health and Safety standards/procedure at workplace as per the Corporate EHS guidelines for the site.
Ensure site Work Permit, risk assessment like JSA is followed routinely before performing task.
Ensure Safe system of work are followed at site.
Deliver training to educate the company’s workforce as well as contractors/visitors on Industrial Hygiene, process safety, emergency response procedures, to ensure that they understand and comply with the company’s policies and standards.
Co-ordinate for accident/incident investigation and report to concerned people in accurate and timely manner.
Sharing of learning from incident at site to associates (Company & Contract both).
Update & maintain IH / EHS procedure for the site & ensure site industrial Hygiene / EHS requirement are followed at site.
Carried out industrial hygiene risk assessment to identify the industrial hygiene area of improvement.
Carried out industrial hygiene workplace / personal monitoring of Chemical, Noise, Heat stress, Vibration, legionella etc.
Carried out ergonomics (Office / workplace) survey for the site.
Ensure all applicable observations / recommendations are track & closure on time.
Maintain workplace inspection records, regulatory inspection records like Form 37 etc.
Report incidents and non-compliance issue to the management
Conduct routine inspections and observation on field and work closely with stake holder to close the identified gaps.
Taking active role in controlling the emergency conditions/situations as defined in the emergency response plan. Conduct periodic mock drill.
Should have knowledge and basic understanding of process safety principles & participate as required. (Like PSSR, MOC & PHA)
To work with purchasing on proper selection of PPEs, and its accessories.
Ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 requirement
Education:
Basics: Science or Engineering degree. (Must)
Specialization: Master of Industrial Hygiene & Safety or Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (or any other safety course recognized by Ministry of Labor, Govt. of India). (Must)
Experiences:
3-7 years’ experience in chemical / pharmaceutical/ agro chemical/oil & gas industry.
Know-how/skills:
Service-minded and good communication, Computer Literacy, Management system, Comprehensive knowledge of local, national & international Health, Environmental & Safety codes & practices.
Gujarati / Hindi Language proficiency
English Language proficiency
Familiarity with MS office
