Samvat 1631 started. On that day there was praya: avoja yoga on the day of Ramnavami as it was on the day of Ramajanma in the Treta Yuga. Early that day Sri Tulsidasji started the composition of Sri Ramcharitmanas. The Granth was completed in two years, seven months, twenty-six days. In Magasar Sudpaksha of Samvat 1633, on the day of Ram's wedding, seven kands were completed.
After this Tulsidasji came to Kashi by God's order. There he recited Sri Ramacharitmanas to Lord Vishwanath and Mother Annapurna. At night the book was kept in the temple of Sri Vishwanathji. When the paat was opened in the morning, it was found written on it - 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' and below was the signature of Lord Shankar. At that time, the people present also heard the sound of 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram'.
Here, when the Pandits heard this, jealousy arose in their minds. They formed a force to denounce Tulsidasji and tried to destroy that book. He sent two thieves to steal the book. When the thieves go and see, two heroes are standing guard with bows and arrows around Tulsidasji's hut. He was of a very handsome dark and fair complexion.
His darshan cleansed the minds of the thieves. He immediately stopped stealing and took to bhajan. Tulsidasji, knowing that the Lord was suffering for him, looted all the belongings of the hut, kept the book with his friend Todarmal. After that he wrote another copy. Other copies were prepared on the same basis. The publicity of the book started increasing day by day.
Even this did not satisfy the Pandits. Then a solution of book examination was further considered. In front of Lord Vishwanath, the Vedas were kept at the top, the Shastras below it, the Puranas below the Shastras and the Ramacharitmanas at the bottom. When the temple was opened in the morning, people saw that Sri Ramcharitmanas was placed on top of the Vedas. Now the pundits were very embarrassed. He sought Tulsidasji's forgiveness and took his feet with devotion.
Tulsidasji now started staying at Asighat. One day in the night Kaliyuga came to him in the form of person and started torturing him. Goswamiji meditated on Hanumanji. Hanumanji asked him to form the post of Vinaya; Hence Goswamiji wrote the Vinaya-Patrika and dedicated it at the Lord's feet. Sriram put his signature on it and made Tulsidasji fearless. Goswamiji renounced his body saying Ram-Ram on Shravan Vad Tritiya Saturday of Samvat 1680.
